Howdy! This is PGSS™, your personal golf score management system. Enclosed you should find three files: this TeachText document, PGSS™ (either 68K or 020), and a WriteNow 4.0 document entitled "PGSS™ Manual."
There are two versions of PGSS™: 68K and 020. If the name of the program you have received has been changed, you can tell which version you have by selecting PGSS™ and doing a "Get Info."
The 68K version has been compiled in straight 68000 code and, therefore, should run on all Macintosh models.
The 020 version has been compiled in 68020/68030 code and will, therefore, only run on machines with a 68020 processor or better.
Both programs are identical in every respect.
PGSS™ is not freeware and the author of the program (me!) retains all rights to the program and any included documentation. This program may be freely distributed so long as this notice and all documentation are included in the distribution. This program may be placed on shareware CD compilations. Please notify me if you intend to do so.

PGSS™ was developed with Symantec's THINK™ Pascal on a 4MB beige Mac Plus running Systems 5.x through 6.x. It is currently used on a 12MB, cache-enabled Quadra 610 running System 7.5.1 — and a half-zillion extensions, including Ram Doubler™ and Stacker™ —in 32-bit mode. I have done my best to correct all known bugs, but, given the limitations inherent in being a one-man development team, I can make no warranties regarding the performance and effect of this program on your machine. If you come across bugs, please notify me of them by e-mail.
